Here's the painting that started all the "excitement." A simple still life-- an ancient Lucky Lager bottle and some kind of strange lemon thing, painted in situ, as it happened from the get-go. Then all the problems began as shown below...

 

Who could have known? A seemingly disinterested party, fired up at having missed the chance to own the "Beer Spirits" painting shown above, contacted me with a proposal: a series of paintings, each immortalizing on canvas one of the brews that they do choose to brew. ... then came the Mad Lloyd's Jack o' the Green Summer Ale. A parade festival of sorts, including the Green Man, the Lord of Misrule (whose appearance at a Summertide Festival caused me no end of cognitive dissonance), an alligator playing a trombone and various other parts and parcels... this one caused me trouble...
